This phenomenon occurs when there is no interference in the air or there is no smoke movement. When there is an introduction of a foreign mass into the area, such as people moving or a picture falling, it causes a “Thermal Imbalance” which will move the smoke and superheated gases to the floor. The SMOKESTOPPER inhibits this smoke from entering the room under the door while also identifying a room that otherwise may be obstructed by the smoke. Also, even the oxygen escaping from a clear room under the door into a fire will cause the fire to be fueled by the oxygen. The SMOKESTOPPER inhibits this oxygen from fueling the fire.
